A non-structured border with Yellow Loosestrife, brambles and creeping weed grasses. The customer had some cobbles lying around which keeps lawn grasses from creeping into the new blank canvas bed.
Although I like the fuzzy look of a Cypress hedge it soon becomes out of control and not trimming regularly can lead to 'holes' in the hedge. Regular cuts are crucial to keep its dense form. Shrubs close to hedges should be trimmed regularly to avoid dieback due to shading behind those growing shrubs.
